The Griot Dance

The Griot Dance, a performance work conceived by Professor Steve Rooks, Department of Dance, is an extended dance work informed by the culture and music of Africa. The central movement is "Notes from Zambia," a visual travelogue based on Rooks' 2008 mission/humanitarian trip to Lusaka, Zambia.
